How Does a Healthy Lifestyle and a Positive Attitude Improve Your Emotional Life
Just as our emotions have a direct impact on our brain’s performance and on our physical health, so too does our physical health, lifestyle and mindset have a direct impact on our emotional life.
Too often we succumb to the moods and emotions we feel as if we have no power over them only to find that we cannot think clearly because of it. Some of us also succumb to the pressures of modern-day life by grabbing a takeout rather than cooking a healthy meal or forego our morning exercise to make an important meeting. We sometimes get carried away with watching a late-night series only to find our performance at work the next day compromised by our lack of sleep.
These choices we make have a direct impact on our emotions and our ability to handle stress and anxiety. Without being conscious of the effect of our choices and how our mindset and attitude can measurably enhance our emotional life and work performance, we remain hostage to a life which is not only less than what we are capable of, it is also not nearly as vibrant, present and fulfilling as it could be.
